North Coast Tri Club Aquathlon series
North Coast’s famous aquathlon series consists of 12 swim-run races on Friday night throughout the season. Our aquathlon usually consist of a 300-400m swim followed by a 3km run. Races are conducted under supervision of Sorrento Surf Life Saving Club and are a great way to gain race experience in often challenging conditions.
Max Greive run
The 5km and 10km Max Greive run is annually held in November in honour of our late life member and co-founder Max Greive. The course consists of a 1 or 2 return lap from the Sorrento Surf Life Saving Club to the Watermans Bay Marine Centre. The fastest male and female junior (5km) and senior (10km) win the prestigious big chainring.
Tour de Lancelin
Our annual early season ride to get some distance in the legs. Leaving the carpark at the McDonalds in Currambine, we ride to Willowbrook Farm Caravan Park, where we traditionally stop for a scone. We then follow our way to Lancelin where we enjoy lunch with a view at the pub, before loading the bikes up in the trailer and drive home.
Every year the Board select a charity to raise funds for on the day. Participants are encouraged to make a small donation before the commencement of the ride.
