Our sessions run all year round…

North Coast Tri Club offers at least two sessions per week for each discipline. Cost is as indicated however Pool Swim sessions do not include pool entry. Our open water swim session runs over the Summer period and times for pool swims may vary. There may be weekly changes to the locations and start times of some of the sessions so we encourage members to join our Facebook Group to keep up to date with information. To make it more cost effective and manageable for both our members and our coaches, we offer training cards to purchase, discounted to $80 for 20 sessions: Training Card

Swim Training

We have three coached swim sessions per week, two pool based and one open water.

Pool Monday (Summer Only)

Focus is technique with the ability to still get some distance for those who want it. Great for a recovery swim it caters for all abilities.
Where:
Craigie Leisure Centre 50m Pool
Time: 7.00pm till 8.00pm
Cost: $10 or two stamps of a training card (does not include pool entry)

Pool Wednesday

A tempo session, focussed on pace awareness and building speed and endurance. Tempo trainers (beepers) are utilised but are optional.
Where:
Craigie Leisure Centre 50m Pool
Time: 6.30pm till 7.30pm
Cost: $10 or two stamps of a training card (does not include pool entry)

Open Water Friday (Summer Only)

This is a seasonal session running from November to end of April. A unique swimming experience that covers sighting techniques and ‘ins’ and ‘outs’. Also great for building confidence in ocean swimming.

Sorrento Surf Lifesaving Club
Time: 5.30am till 6.30am (may change depending on light and visibility)

Cycling Training

We have three sessions per week with a ride leader facilitating the route and distance. We aim to include a weekly hills session and a long ride on the Saturday morning.

Cycling Tuesday

Intervals ride session. This is a high-intensity training session with dedicated recovery points. Group 1 uses active recovery (constant rolling) at regrouping points and Groups 2 & 3 have passive recovery stops.

Cycling Thursday

With alternating routes every week this ride incorporates hill loops over a set course and caters for all fitness levels.

Cycling Saturday

Long rides on Saturday vary each week and facilitated by a designated Group Leader. Each ride is approximately 60km+ with options to go shorter or longer. The routes include hill rides through Guildford and TT rides for time on the bars. Check our Facebook Group for the weekly destination.

Sorrento Surf Lifesaving Club (may vary)
Time: 6.00am till 8.30am (may change depending on light and visibility)

Run Training

We have two coached sessions and one social run per week. Our coached sessions are interval and tempo based and are designed to accommodate a range of abilities and fitness levels. Our social run is on a Sunday morning, it is led by one of our members and offers an opportunity for people to meet up with similar paced runners to get some time on the legs, this is usually followed by a coffee or a swim.

Coached Tuesday and Thursday

Where: Flinders Reserve, Broadbeach Boulevard, Hillarys every Thursday evening.
Time: 6pm till 7pm
Cost: $5 or one stamp of a training card

Social Run Sunday

Where: Sorrento Surf Lifesaving Club, South Carpark.
Time: 6.30am - 8.00am (can change depending on time of year)
Cost: FREE
